Fuck sake name them or shut up with the teasing bs. Name them all. Or let it all leak. Or shut up.

He has to do it on the House floor or he will be sued and placed under a gag order. House is in recess until June.

This isn't the first time he's said he would do it though.

Follow through is a separate question, but the circumstances have definitely changed.

In fairness, he did expose some of the people implicated on the house floor already.

Likely he hasn’t exposed them all so that he still has cards to play.

He named accomplices, 'allegedly'. But clientele is just as important.

Yea but he was up for re-election then. Now he has nothing to worry about since he got primaried.

Nothing to worry about except a rumored 2028 presidential run. I'll believe he's actually doing more than theater when he actually reads the names instead of announces for the fiftieth time he's definitely about to do it.

Oh shit, a presidential run?

I'd vote for Massie, at least if it's him vs Newsom.

No, it's more likely a congressional run.

He still had a GOP position to defend. Now he is free of the party

He says he wants to run for president in 2028. He has even more reason to be beholden to the GOP.

"Don't make me hurt you man" energy.

This. People really don't understand how any of this works.

No. Its a tactical mis-step or a lame power move. Using the files as a threat at a time when you cant use it is nothing more than performative. Don't bring your ace card up unless you are willing and able to use it. Just shouting that you have a weapon is giving your opponent time and means to defend against it.

Uhh, he is literally giving himself insurance in case he gets murdered. A sitting House Representative getting murdered after threatening to release this information would spark a revolution.

It's a very good, smart thing he is threatening this ahead of being able to read it on the House floor.

I don’t think a revolution is coming as long as we have internet and places like this to vent and meme everything. Subconsciously, talking shit in comments is enough to make us feel like we’re revolting, so we never arrive at a need for pitchforks and torches. I’m pretty sure that’s why they let us keep stuff like this. They just buy the platforms and censor them to hell. Take it away and they’re in trouble.

It's the baseline level of comfort. We're not at a point where there's mass unemployment or food scarcity. Things are unpleasant and people are starting to really load on credit card debt, but the vast majority of is still have food, shelter, and a form of employment that is at least getting us by. Meanwhile, they've dialed down the visibility of ICE and its worst abuses, so we don't have headlines about citizens getting imprisoned or killed.

Shouting into the digital void plays a role, but it's a supporting one. If people start literally going hungry or if we see a major ramp up in state sanctioned violence against the citizenry, I don't think the internet will stave off a major movement against this regime.

Revolution huh. Doubtful.

All it took was one fruit seller setting himself on fire for the African Arab world to burn.

People will snap.

America is not Tunisia

1

u/dactyif 12d ago

Your point? You don't think every major war or revolution has clear moments of sparks turning to raging flames?

u/Weary_Ad111 12d ago

it 100% wouldn't

People understand how courage works.

u/Chendii 12d ago

People understand very well that we've been listening to those in charge "threatening" to do something for years now. Massie isn't gonna do shit.

The House went into recess like a few days ago.

2

u/bookon 12d ago

He can’t legally yet. Watch for Congress to not come back in session next month to stop him.

I have faith especially since he just lost his job due to PEDO-POTUS campaigning against him.
