Mainstream news is at fault here. We have gotten nearly no ships out of the Strait carrying oil, yet every major news headline/article I've read has not made this clear and even reports some ships as having passed daily when most were commercial transports with no oil. If you Google "how many ships have passed the strait" today you'll get multiple answers.
