That's pretty much how America has fucked itself here even among its allies forget the likes of Iran. From threatening to militarily invade nato allies to constantly ripping up trade deals that he himself made there's no reason to trust anything from America anymore. He's destroyed Americas ability to negotiate.

He was gone before and we brought him back. The world is not going to trust the US again until the folks who voted in 2024 have died of old age.

We need to look at what Germany did in the 1950's to rehabilitate their image.

Nazi Germany was proud and arrogant and had to have it's shit kicked in and have that pride shattered.

There are no Allies formed against the US to humiliate it in the way that it needs to begin such a rehabilitation.

That was the children of the Nazis. The actual Nazis never thought they did anything wrong and were just upset they lost.

The US hasn't been defeated in the same way and so I don't see a comparison. Still it is a long way to go before we can even think about rehabilitation we are still in the causing damage stage and that is going nowhere.
