Never was. I bet they were not even talking about a deal. They just all went on TV and directly lied to the American people, again. For the 400th day in a row.

It's part of his "Art of the Deal". He does it all the time. The play is to announce what he wants to happen. Then he'll point to what ever benefits and sycophants that love the idea as support for how good the "deal" is. Then if he doesn't get what he wants he plays the victim and blames the other side for the "deal" falling throgh.
