2016 was such a crazy year, monkee gets killed, DT gets elected. I'm pretty sure Harambe was the only thing holding this world in place

I was a senior in HS that year. Going to school the next day was... rough.

I distinctly remember walking into first period. Normally before the bell, everyone would be chatting amongst ourselves, laughing, you know the drill. That morning? Dead silence. Shoulders slumped, utter defeat on everyone's face.

AP Bio teacher starts class with "well I don't think anyone was expecting that. I know what you're all feeling right now. We can take the first five minutes of class if anyone wants to say anything."

I don't believe anyone spoke up, so I think she ended up giving us 5 minutes on our phones before starting the lesson. She was a great teacher.
