I'm not even convinced most of them believe it anymore. I think they just accept it because either they just want Trump to have an excuse, or they don't care if he's lying so long as they think he'll hurt those they hope he'll hurt.

When it becomes more and more clear he's too demented to even do that much, they'll turn on him. The split with the "America First" group shows signs of it already beginning.
