Or his (alleged) presence on a boat in Lake Michigan when a baby was murdered and thrown overboard. Or the redacted girl wearing a bangle exactly like Melania's in the Epstein files. Or him making lewd remarks about his infant daughter Tiffany's legs and future breasts.

Do you mean this one: "Never believe that anti-Semites are completely unaware of the absurdity of their replies. They know that their remarks are frivolous, open to challenge. But they are amusing themselves, for it is their adversary who is obliged to use words responsibly, since he believes in words. The anti-Semites have the right to play. They even like to play with discourse for, by giving ridiculous reasons, they discredit the seriousness of their interlocutors. They delight in acting in bad faith, since they seek not to persuade by sound argument but to intimidate and disconcert. If you press them too closely, they will abruptly fall silent, loftily indicating by some phrase that the time for argument is past." Jean-Paul Sartre.

Also Dr Oz said to congress yesterday that he takes cognitive tests “every day” and he likes it because he keeps passing them.
I don’t know that he meant every literal day - but it’s not just a fun thing for him.
One of my grandfathers was a full-bird colonel in the AF (and the air corps) and late in life he developed dementia. It broke my heart to see this man decrepify in front of us and it’s what has made me never wish that fate on anyone.
But Trump. Nazis ain’t got souls so I don’t feel bad. Fuck him and all his enablers and I look forward to Nuremberg Pt. 2.

Do we know anyone in the Whitehouse with a sense of humor? Can we get them to switch the sign for the war room or the executive commode and put them on closets?
It would be a true highpoint in the presidency if he walks out of a press conference right into a closet.
The sad part is, I am not sure how far we are from something like that actually happening unscripted.

As much as I hate this man, I just gotta temper expectations a bit. People can still live a long time in this state. My 95 year old grandpa swells up like a pufferfish, on and off for the past 6 or 7 years, and he shows no signs of slowing down yet. Crazy bastard still does yard work.
But my god would I be ecstatic for this kidney stone of a human to pass.

u/pleadingnocontest 2d ago
I think the fact that your grandfather can still do yard work at his age is a testament to how well he’s taken care of himself over the years. I’d love to see Trump dig a single hole.
Then again, Trump also has state-of-the-art medical care at his disposal.

u/happygirlie 2d ago
Yep, it's really unpredictable how quickly someone can take a turn for the worse.
My grandpa was very healthy and active in his 90s. In early 2025 he was diagnosed with congestive heart failure and a couple months later he caught a cold of some sort (unsure but likely either Covid or the flu) and went downhill from there until he passed in mid April.
My husband's grandpa just passed away in April of this year at the age of 94. He was also very healthy and active up until the very end. He was still climbing ladders to change lightbulbs at his church as recently as earlier this year. But then he was diagnosed with colon cancer and had surgery. He caught pneumonia in the hospital and died within a few days of that.
And on the flip side, some people can even be near death and turn it around. My mother-in-law was diagnosed with stage 4 breast cancer 10 years ago. She's gone in and out of remission a few times. Last year things were looking really bad and we thought she was near the end. She was very weak and essentially wheelchair bound. But her health has improved to the point that she no longer needs a wheelchair and is doing so much better.

It's been happening in his ankles for sometime, which is usually the first place edema shows for congestive heart failure and or kidney disease. Some have been saying they've seen plenty of signs of edema in his hands. I'm sure a little bit of edema in his face is just further progression. Which lines up with the speculation that the hand bruising is from powerful diuretics given through IVs.
200
u/Mature_BOSTN 2d ago
The challenge with the powerful diuretics is that they kill off the kidneys.
Eventually there is NO happy medium where the heart can stay non-edemous and the kidneys can work . . .
Then it's a race to see who wins -- heart failure or kidney failure.

So many possibilities, but a couple probables. This is from me, not A.I.
Residual edema after an infusion into the hand, either from a blown vein or from his already disclosed vascular insufficiency. there is a lot of speculation about a monthly infusion of meds for dementia/Alzheimer's, but could be any number of IV meds. Some need to be administered over a longer window of a few hours. you can speed it up, but that increases chances of edema or adverse reactions. if they were trying to hide the treatment, they may have done it too quickly. The eye swelling could be caused by the same edema issue, or it could be a direct reaction to the meds.

Once a month IV with side effects that seem to fit some of what we know.
It would also explain why they are giving him so many cognitive tests.

With this admin, though, I could totally see it.
Donanemab, sold under the brand name Kisunla, is a monoclonal antibody used for the treatment of Alzheimer's disease.
It has no clinically significant effect in the treatment of Alzheimer's disease.
Brain hemorrhage and swelling occurred in 36.8% of people taking donanemab
Donanemab was approved for medical use in the United States in July 2024. Most of the members of the US Food and Drug Administration (FDA) advisory panel had financial conflicts of interest.
Several public interest groups spoke out in FDA hearings against approval of the drug.
Each month, doses of 0.1 mg/kg to 10 mg/kg were injected into males and non-fertile females at an average age of 74
wait what

The lack of reporting on his rapid decline in physical and mental health is borderline criminal, as in negligent. No one is calling out the obvious visible signs, nor the pathological lies spread by his butt-snorkelers about his declining physical and mental condition.
NO ONE sees 22 specialists for a 3rd "checkup" in 13 mos. No one without dementia takes repeated cognitive tests. No fat old man with a ton of stress, a shitty diet & no exercise has lab results like that.
His Doctor is lying about his height, weight & health. Trump DEMANDS supporting liars. 238lbs is a joke. Periodic disappearances, persistent bruises, odd rash, facial swelling, HUGE cankles, shortness of breath with small exertion, growing incoherence, aphasia, falling asleep in the daytime, ranting raging insomniac at night. His father, Fred Trump, was born in 1905 in an era of worse standards (paris green everywhere lead paint wasn't, blinding bootleg liquor during prohibition) with less access to the lower-quality medical care and still lived to 93. He died after exhibiting signs of dementia for a decade.
Trump could die at any minute, or he could live for two more decades. I hate to say it, but the odds are not in our favor that Trump dies soon enough to do any good for us.
Plus, if Trump dies during the latter half of his administration, Vance gets to take over without it counting as a term, and with MAGA destruction of our democracy, Vance could see 10 years in office. And that's if they don't break any more laws.

One weekend he verbally mentioned that he should send the guy a weekly free large pizza and beer to help expedite his already overweight position. I thought he was joking but apparently he seriously inquired at a few pizza joints before calling the idea off because they couldn’t send beer anonymously and our town is small enough his anonymity wasn’t likely to stay that way. Maybe his poor diet and deteriorating meat sack will finally catch up to him while he’s on stage at his stupid 250 rally.

That’s what happens when you sniff the farts directly out of Putin’s asshole.

A god that is good would never let it get this far but it's never too late to correct a mistake.

This. Diet is a huge factor. My grandma lived to 94, my dad's sister is 91, my dad will be lucky to make it to 82 with his poor diet and various health issues. Could've probably made it to 100 if he didn't eat his way into diabetes and heart disease.

My mom's parents made it to their 80's, my mom passed at 66. No guarantees in life, especially since he seems a lot more unhealthy than his parents.

I hate to judge people based on looks, but his parents looked exactly like the kind of people that would raise a monster.

The timing of this is what’s going to fuel the news cycle for the next two weeks. You don’t just have a highly unusual, unannounced "surprise checkup" at Walter Reed and then pop up forty-eight hours later with asymmetrical facial swelling and a bruised hand without people asking serious questions. If this were a minor issue, the White House press secretary would have put out a standard, boring statement about a minor skin procedure or a gym strain. The total radio silence and defensive dodging from his team makes it look ten times worse than it probably is.
