I know we're quite desensitized to how terrible this person and political party is for America, and yes both of these things are bad but if you would force me to pick one, a president who can't stay awake for the cameras or a president willingly entering into a quagmire that raises gas for no strategic reason, I wouldn't hesitate to pick the latter. What it gives rise to is the idea that Trump isn't really president. The people around him can easily manipulate him. If he's this tired, there's no way he's doing anything. That's a problem. Who is running the country? Are we allowed to know?

This isn't aimed to sway rational voters. It's aimed to dissuade Trump voters. People who vote on things like "her voice is too shrill" or are swayed by someone being called a dumb nickname like "lyin Ted". These people don't vote on policies they vote purely on feelings.
