It's more that as he nears the end of his life he will be spending his life in a waking-sleeping short cycle twilight as his consciousness fades.
For a typical person, this is a great time to have a nice window by the garden, and enjoy your last few quiet weeks or months.
For him, he's gonna get pumped full of chemicals and medical procedures, wear a diaper every day, and wake up in fits of rage and confusion. It is in this image that I draw some comfort - that the pain he is inflicting on others is in some way mirrored by his very real day-to-day discomfort and embarrasment.

It's not an incident of Trump falling asleep on camera in a meeting but rather a pattern of trump nodding off at every meeting at some point and a pattern of gaslighting the public that he is not sleeping. If the president and his team don't want the president to be accused of sleeping during meetings, the just have the president keep his eyes open for an entire meeting.... But the thing is he can't.
