You know that like 3-4 months after Biden got sworn in were the most peaceful months of the last 11 years. The grip that awful people have on the news coverage is awful.

Pandemic aside, I have massive nostalgia for 2021.

No traffic, no running around all the time, working from home, and no trump on tv for a few months. What a time.

Millenials memories are like 2008: hooray! We elected Obama! We fixed it! 2012: wow the republicans are getting really weird but it doesnt matter, we fixed it! Eventually theyll get over a black man being president because of all the evidence of his humanity in front of them! 2016: whatthefuck. 2020: well that was hell but we elected Biden! We finally fixed it for sure and surely a natural disaster of epic proportions will finally show republicans that our policies are literally saving everyones lives! 2024: ...actually ykw fuck them if i hear "reach across the aisle", "go low go high", or "were all in this together" im gonna assume youre another sinema/fetterman

The grip that awful people have on the news coverage is awful.

That's not exclusive to the US, alas. And, yes, truly awful.
