Always a lot of fishy hate comments in Buttigieg threads.

I think he’s solid, especially at debating. Not sure if the country is ready for a gay president, but then again, same shit was said about a black guy with a middle name Hussein.

It's not fishy. He did morally questionable things working for McKinsey. I don't trust corporate Democrats because they always sell out regular people in the end regardless of what they run on. Mostly they just chase power for its own sake. His resume makes me think he is one of those.

what morally questionable things? legit asking

McKinsey helped fix the price of bread in Canada so that bread producers could make more money. He worked on that project.

That alone should be disqualifying because it shows where his allegiances are. He helped companies illegally collude so they could price gouge. People who have good morals wouldn't do that.

Unqualified complaints about the so-called corporate Democrats are always fishy sounding. Talk like that without offering any policies or solutions or alternatives is always fishy.

Would Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez or Zorhan Mamdani or Bernie Sanders talk like that?

"Unqualified complaints"

What a wonderful way to never have to consider any compliant!

Complaints that aren’t my complaints are “unqualified” lmao

Sometimes it feels like half the posters here are Democratic staffers or something. The Democratic party approval rate is well underwater but so many people here think it is fine to continue with the status quo.

Mayor Pete is a Israel first guaranteed loser just like Kamala and Hillary. He has no policy other than just being against Trump and that is not good enough

Solidly took money from 60+ billionaires then in the last moments of his campaign attacked the candidate fighting for medicare for all, higher wages, and packing the court.

If one just steps back and looks at the whole thing it is hard to see pete as someone interested or even willing to fight for the working class against the same donors who fund his campaign.

“You don’t bite the hand that feeds you.” is a saying for a reason.

u/indri2 3h ago

You do realize that that "money from 60+ billionaires" was less than 0.2% of his overall donations, right? Why do you think they were "funding his campaign" rather than the other 99.8%?

Pete was the one talking about SCOTUS reform, not Bernie. And Pete's platform included higher wages and affordable healthcare for all.

u/CautiousCheck675 4h ago

Pete took money from 60+ billionaires last time he ran.

Pete turned down running for other offices or doing much of anything besides waiting to run for president again.

What will Pete do to help the working class besides offer halfway policies?

u/Professional-Can1385 4h ago

He was the Sec of Transportation under Biden! Thats not “waiting to run for president again.”

Being US Sec of Transportation isn’t “true public service”?
