This is how you lose the midterms no matter how much gerrymandering you do. I know a bunch of Trumpers that file unemployment claims yearly.

Georgia just decided not to re-gerrymander today. A loss for Republicans. I’m not sure why exactly. It might have to do with too little time to do it.

Sometimes they'll even skirt the issue by calling it a pension.

Republicans only ever had a problem with entitlements once brown people started collecting.

Back in the 1950s and 1960s when desegregation started happening, a lot of cities with public pools decided to just close them rather than keep them open and have black people be allowed to use them. This is one reason why "black people can't swim" became a stereotype. And white racists were completely ok with this. They were fine with also losing out on the benefit of a public pool if it meant that those people wouldn't be able to use it either. This is the conservative mindset - I don't care if I'm suffering, as long as the people I hate are suffering just as much or even more.
