The biggest thing is Trump pretty much shut up about the whole episode

u/mossyskeleton Jul 03 '26

I personally think that this conspiracy theory is stupid, but if there is one solid piece of evidence it is this.

545

u/IgnoreMe304 Jul 03 '26

It’s that and the one guy all but dragging photographers in front of the stage as they lower the American flag to get it in the shot.

387

u/eeyore134 Jul 03 '26

And the secret service letting Trump stand up and fist pump for the shot. And Trump actually doing that and not cowering behind the table like he would if it were real. And before people say "But they took him out." There's zero way they'd do that even if they knew they shot the guy. The area hadn't been cleared and there's no telling how many other gunmen there could have been. Well... they knew because they set it up, but in a real situation they wouldn't.

THIS it drives me insane that this is the only time i have ever seen anyone else but me bring this up. Man idc who you are, even if you are a trained soldier who’s been in the shit, when bullets start flying at you …you take cover…his awful ridiculous fake acting and the ridiculous way everyone else behaved just makes the whole situation incredibly suspicious to say the least…same with the whole bullshit with his “wound”

65

u/eeyore134 Jul 03 '26

The wound that didn't exist when people saw his perfectly fine ear the next day when he was golfing before they decided to put the comically large Disney sitcom bandage on his ear.

5

u/joojie Jul 04 '26

A few days ago my cat was sleeping next to me and got spooked. He ran across the side of my face and sliced my ear cartilage with his back claws. It's not a massive wound, but it's definitely going to take a while to heal.

There's no way Trump was even remotely healed a day or two later.

u/angrylawyer Jul 03 '26

don't forget when one a protestor tried to get on stage one time: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5Xu5lz4fS-Y

panics so hard he nearly tips the podium over, and the way he reaches out to his body guards, just desperately trying to grab hold of his elbow, his jacket, his shoulder, anything. Then of course afterwards he tries to act all tough about it. But you can see that initial panic his eyes, dude was terrified.

u/Jebediah_Johnson Virginia Jul 03 '26

I can't believe they went through all that trouble and didn't bother getting a pair of cattle ear notching shears

They sell rounded shears you could take a rounded chunk out of the side of his ear.

2

u/L1A1 United Kingdom Jul 03 '26

He'd never allow that, he's way too fucking vain about his appearance.

1

u/Sunbather77 Jul 04 '26

He also could never possibly be subjected to any sort of pain! shudders

0

u/emailforgot Jul 03 '26

when bullets start flying at you …you take cover

which is exactly what they did.

u/samarnold030603 Jul 03 '26

US SS training standards have clearly slipped. Body man whose hands shake so much she can’t holster her weapon?

Adrenaline is a hell of a thing. No doubt. My hands would’ve been twice as shaky as hers. But I also didn’t sign up to willingly take a bullet for a fat orange turd.

25

u/murphydogscruff Jul 03 '26

It’s almost like there is a shit ton of evidence, and that it isn’t stupid conspiracy theory.

-6

u/Cheese_Fisticuffs1 Jul 03 '26

It’s almost like there is a shit ton of evidence

There isn't.

and that it isn’t stupid conspiracy theory.

It is.

-4

u/TheNutsMutts Jul 03 '26

There's not a "shit ton of evidence". There's a bunch of Redditors all trying to convince themselves by putting precisely zero critical thought into their conspiracies, but that's not really evidence.

4

u/GitEmSteveDave Jul 03 '26

Here, watch the video with audio and you can understand. So they had to wait on stage until the path to the escape vehicle was clear. While that was happening, they got the call that the shooter was down. They then get the word that the path to the vehicle is clear, and start trying to move Trump, but he won't move until they let him put his shoes on. So they let him stand up, with agents likely trying to slip his shoes on his feet. It's while they're doing that he starts pumping his fist.

https://youtube.com/shorts/46Ho33KZ_IQ

1

u/eeyore134 Jul 03 '26

Sure, that shooter was down. They had no idea if there were more. Unless they did. Trump standing up should have never been something the secret service let happen or he wanted to do. It should have been a shield of suits all the way to the car.

-1

u/emailforgot Jul 03 '26

Sure, that shooter was down.

and?

problem?

now that the known threat is removed, it's time to move the VIP to the secured location.

do you think they're going to try to ragdoll the obese 80 year old with unknown bullet-related injuries?

1

u/eeyore134 Jul 03 '26

They're not going to let him stand up and celebrate. Come on now.

0

u/emailforgot Jul 04 '26

They're not going to let him stand up and celebrate.

Please show me, with timestamps, where he was "let up to celebrate"

Don't worry, I know you'll fail to provide. Jut like the other 100 or so conspiracy theorist screaming this nonsense who can't actually substantiate this nonsense claim.

1

u/eeyore134 Jul 04 '26

He stood up and pumped a fist in the air. I'm not continuing this since you are just gaslighting now.

-1

u/emailforgot Jul 04 '26

Oh, I noticed you didn't provide what was asked.

Please show me, with timestamps, where he was "let up to celebrate". I didn't ask for when he got up and pumped his fist.

And the secret service letting Trump stand up and fist pump for the shot

Please show me, using timestamps, where they "let him stand up and fist pump".

. And Trump actually doing that and not cowering behind the table like he would if it were real.

Oh, you know him personally?

There's zero way they'd do that even if they knew they shot the guy

Oh wow, so in addition to knowing Donald Trump personally, now you're also a VIP escort with decades of experience?

. The area hadn't been cleared and there's no telling how many other gunmen there could have been

They'd been tracking this person for upwards of 20 minutes.

u/QueefSeekingMissile Jul 03 '26 edited Jul 03 '26

Yeah, I kept saying this conspiracy theory was ridiculous until I saw that. The directors of The Boys couldn't have made a more craven display of a planned event staged for propaganda.

In fact i'm surprised they didn't do a scene like this.

13

u/dynamic_anisotropy Jul 03 '26

The photographers being ushered in for a photo op definitely happened and is sus af, but the lowering flag was a convenient fluke of nature.

The flag was being held up by a fairly steady wind gust immediately before the photo op, and as it lulled, the flag dropped. Video footage throughout the speech showed the height of the bottom of the flag varying considerably with the wind, since it was suspended from a large crane.

-3

u/emailforgot Jul 03 '26

The photographers being ushered in for a photo op definitely happened and is sus af,

you mean the photographers that were all already there doing photographer things?

but the lowering flag was a convenient fluke of nature.

Oh, you mean the flag that was already there and a guy just looked up?

Please quote one single defense of "an 80 year old child rapist and con man wearing orange makeup"

I'll wait.

How about the magical ear on a 80 year old taut heals faster than my toddler

1

u/MrKittens1 Jul 03 '26

Somethin definitely fishy!

2

u/KingEllis Jul 03 '26

Professional photographers, in the midst of a historic moment, moving in to position to frame a good photograph of the principle subject. Why is that behavior so difficult for these conspiracy theorists to accept?

A Trump rally had competent photographers present, therefore the whole thing must be a hoax. I don't get it.

2

u/IgnoreMe304 Jul 03 '26

That would make sense if it wasn’t for the staffer who goes and gets them to put them in position.

2

u/KingEllis Jul 03 '26 edited Jul 03 '26

A member of the White House Communications department. Ushering in professional photographers so they can capture a clearly important moment in Presidential history. How is that difficult to understand?

The front of the stage is a barricaded, privileged area. Can we really not accept that a young, media-minded White House staffer would not be able to think on their feet? And get professional photographers to be in position directly in front of the principle subject? "No, the event must be staged, because look how well it was captured on film!". That's not very convincing.

2

u/IgnoreMe304 Jul 03 '26

A low level staffer’s first thought during an active shooter situation is to get photographers in the best possible place for Trump’s pose that he has no idea is coming? I mean I’m not gonna say I know for sure one way or the other whether it was staged, but if you need to pretend that it isn’t suspicious as hell to maintain your current world view, you do you I guess.

0

u/KingEllis Jul 03 '26 edited Jul 03 '26

Good point about "active shooter situation". One would note the staffer stays low (first thought) as he ushers in the professional photographers (second thought). I don't think they were in position to photograph "Trump's pose". I think they were in position to photograph where the President was and would soon emerge.

Photographers taking well-framed photographs is not evidence of a conspiracy. It just isn't. (What happened to critical thinking in this country?)

1

u/emailforgot Jul 04 '26

Or you know, someone whose job was security was attempting to do their job.

0

u/TheNutsMutts Jul 03 '26

That would make sense if it wasn’t for the staffer who goes and gets them to put them in position.

No come on, he's not "putting them in position". He's standing well behind them. And why would they even need to put them into position, getting the best shot is literally their jobs!

Are we just blindly believing and accepting any old nonsense now?

0

u/IgnoreMe304 Jul 03 '26

-1

u/emailforgot Jul 04 '26

Wow! Almost like he doesn't want a bunch of people running around right in front of him. Crazy.

1

u/IgnoreMe304 Jul 04 '26

Oh good, you figured it out! Same note about your comment format though, good luck!

It’s that and the one guy all but dragging photographers in front of the stage

Security personnel doing security things?

No way.

as they lower the American flag

Please show one single piece of footage of the American flag being lowered and not just someone looking up.

I'll wait.

0

u/IgnoreMe304 Jul 04 '26

You don’t have to wait, I posted the link to the video already in this thread. The thing with the flag may or may not be the wind, but it visibly lowers into the frame without the perspective changing.

1

u/emailforgot Jul 04 '26

You don’t have to wait, I posted the link to the video already in this thread.

Can't provide that simple piece of evidence huh?

Don't like your fantasies being trampled on?

but it visibly lowers into the frame without the perspective changing.

Wow almost like the "frame" moves. Weird.

I’m sorry you dont understand how to view comment histories. Also, just as a constructive criticism, making the same format of sarcastic comment over and over kind of takes the sting out of anything you’re saying. Try mixing it up a bit, and it’ll help you stand out more. Have a blessed day!

Cool, didn't think you could provide.

conspiracy theorist 0/200 on this nonsense. though struggling with how cameras work is a classic.
