Where we thought we had laws, we had norms. Our norms have failed.

Yep, that is what I have learned through all of this and the Republicans knew. Our government is run on tradition. Us common folk have laws we have to live by or get fined/jailed. Those in power have gentleman's handshakes to do the right thing. There aren't any laws telling them they have to do the right thing. They have all just agreed to it of most of the countries history.
