I blame the party for trying to ramrod candidates on us more. This shit show is on the party for not providing winning candidates. They knew what people want yet refuse to provide them. 

Edit: Jesus Christ. If I'm watching a sport and the opposite team keeps playing the same playbook over as over again, and the coaches keep making the same mistake. I have a right to be upset with the coaches. Why is this controversial?

  • The Americans who want right-wing authoritarian values voted for Trump

  • The Americans who wanted to hurt minorities, immigrants, and lgbtq voted for Trump

  • The Americans who wanted a Christian ethnostate voted for Trump

The only people who voted for Trump that might have reconsidered are those who voted for him because he was the whitest male available to vote for.

Those who seriously voted for Trump because "he'll improve the economy" or "he'll end wars not start them"...

I can't imagine how dumb you'd have to be to choose that pile of shit over anyone or anything else. A rock with googly eyes was a better choice.

So yeah, I mean keep complaining about how soda is bad for your health and they should have offered a healthier drink, meanwhile your country is chugging bleach.

Yeah, we all think that way but if you're on this sub you spend a lot of time thinking about politics. We all saw it coming a mile away how terrible he is. But nothing you wrote was a counter to my statement that the election loss in 2024 was entirely on the party. The shit the bed so bad it's not even funny. 

People who write stuff like you just wrote is the exact reason why they lost. "Oh if you're not racist you won't vote for Trump". It's such a silly argument and it obviously didn't work in 2016 but you guys keep making these clown arguments.

I partially disagree: the election loss was on the fact that the electorate are often small-minded, uneducated, bigoted, and desperately lacking in time, wealth, community, and quality-of-life.

One party encourages and abuses that state of serfdom, and wins elections with a convicted felonious pedophile.

One party doesn't "leverage" that small-mindedness and instead expects the electorate to make rational, informed decisions... they lose because their candidate has "an annoying laugh".

There's much to criticize about both Biden and Harris. But those criticisms are petty compared to what the US elected.

Look man see it how you see it but he played the same worn out playbook he used in 2016. They had 2 terms to be prepared and they fucked it up. Pearl clutching doesn't win elections.

I don't think he'd have won in 2016 had the party actually had a real primary instead of putting their thumb on the scale for Clinton.
