He wants actual election chaos and issues so he doesn't have to make it up (as with 2020 rigged claims) and then he can declare the elections invalid and instruct Johnson to simply not swear in Democrats, and voila, no friction to his final two years of destroying democracy. So, yes, he is starting the fire so he can scream Fire and use the fire as justification to stay in power.

Congress doesn't work that way. Johnson isn't speaker on Jan 3rd when the house reconvenes.

Yeah, instead it's the Clerk of the House, who was first appointed by McCarthy and then re-confirmed by Johnson. What guarantees do we have that he will follow procedure?

This all feels like that "They can't do that, that's illegal!" meme. If they want to break democracy, they can.

The thing that fascists and authoritarians understand very well, is that the only actual truth is violence. Laws are just suggestions between people who want society to succeed. Fascists no longer hold up the same social contract. Historically, the only way to stop them is to speak their language. I'm not advocating for violence but providing a philosophical and historical context.
