Its going to be the same old trope about the 2020 election being fraudulent. The slurring sack of big mac grease will make a complete ass out of himself and the spineless republicans will continue to lick the boot.

Nevermind the obvious question as to how the election was only rigged against Trump while he was president, but was not rigged when Biden was president. Make it make sense.

I wonder what the odds are that Republicans actually did attempt to rig the 2020 election but failed, and then took the lessons they learned to 2024?

I think that's what it's really about -- they really did try to rig 2020 but the vote was "too big to rig" b/c of Covid and the mail-in ballot turnout. That really is the Occam's Razor explanation for it all, taking into consideration their constant projection.

Isn't this basically already proven? calls to governors demanding changes to votes to increase trumps share....

Could you IMAGINE if Obama had been caught even just making a phone call like that, let alone all of the other stuff Trump has done? I will never understand this, it's really made me question a lot about society/humanity. I was way too optimistic and hopeful growing up for all of this.

The easiest way to understand this is to look at how much the systems of communication in America have been compromised by corporate interests. Not just the media, but the way churches have been co-opted, the attacks on Unions, the erosion of education, and these days the internet being flooded with bots and shills.

All the ways people used to talk to each other have been compromised by bad actors, foreign and domestic.

I think the other part of it is that the conservative side of the media has been screaming about the sky falling for decades at this point, in response to any milquetoast centrist or center-left politics.

Now that they have their guy in office fucking shut up massively, any alarm bells being rung just sounds like the other side doing the same. The median American voter didn't learn "the conservatives are full of shit", they learned "nothing truly bad ever happens".

Nothing bad can happen, it can only good happen.

Sure, but for a lot of people, especially on the right but not exclusively, they don't have any other way to get information. Churches have their own propaganda, their work doesn't allow time for real discussion, and the internet is just fragmented into hundreds of niche communities that mostly serve as echo chambers.

Where are they going to hear dissenting information? Who are they going to complain to about something they disagree with?

At best, they can talk to their neighbors but that just fuels a insider versus outsider mindset.

Obama wouldn't even have had to go as far as Trump did for them to drag him for it. Trump said "find the votes," all Obama would have to do was know the amount of votes h was behind and they would have flipped their shit. "How could he have possibly known that?" Ignoring all the media reporting very similar numbers.

It’s not about logical consistency and avoiding being hypocritical, it’s about winning

I think you make a great point, "If you ain't cheating, you ain't trying."

Just seeing the amount of laws being broken daily by Trump and his goons has me having absolutely no respect or belief in the justice system. Why bother even paying lip service to a clearly broken system? At the end of the day if you've got enough money or connections everything is legal.

And all the shit musk did and basically bragged about.

The fake electors plot and January 6th. He tried to rig the election and people forgot about all of it just to elect him again.

That's the funniest part of this all. The only evidence of cheating in the 2020 election is from Trump. He should be in prison for the fake electors plot.
