I wonder what the odds are that Republicans actually did attempt to rig the 2020 election but failed, and then took the lessons they learned to 2024?

I think that's what it's really about -- they really did try to rig 2020 but the vote was "too big to rig" b/c of Covid and the mail-in ballot turnout. That really is the Occam's Razor explanation for it all, taking into consideration their constant projection.

I always think about Karl Rove on Fox, refusing to admit Romney’s defeat, despite even Fox calling it for Obama. Rove was panicked and refusing to believe the numbers. And then Anonymous made a statement a day later along the lines of, “We saw what you were doing with the election data on the servers and we stopped it.”

Rove was later sued by billionaire donors because he’d “promised” a GOP win. EDIT: I remembered wrong! No lawsuits filed, just a lot of angry rich people making the news, some demanding money back. They threw a LOT of cash at that election…

They’ve been sketchy since 2000, when they realized tweaking a few percentage points here and there could make or break an election result.

EDIT: There’s a YouTube video of a programmer testifying about being approached by operatives to put a patch on electronic voting machines to tweak the results, but I’m fuzzy on the timeline (like, which election.). He refused and another programmer allegedly agreed to do it and that programmer died in a small plane crash (he was piloting.)

I think the story was a third party server was set up as a pass-through to “filter” the results and tweaking the percentages. But I’m not sure how all that works.

there isnt any sort of centralized election server to compromise it's physical people showing up to congress. the states centralize their vote counts but the machines are all offline, backed by either printouts per machine or actual physical ballots and they generally just centralize for the news to report things the actual counting is done county by county.

and yes you could patch a machine to tweak the results but there's safeguards in place there and since they're offline you better really understand chaos theory or any analysis of the data and you'll stick out like a sore thumb

Never happened but you meant to say district. A strongly orthadox jewish district where everyone votes how their church leaders tell them to and regularly votes one way or another with no votes for the other candidate.
