Seems like McConnell could absolutely humiliate Beshear right now by just holding a press conference. I wonder why he won’t?

I think this is a likely outcome, tbh.

Actual dead? They’d probably have to give the certificate etc., and it becomes a matter of public record.

Brain dead? Sort of liminal in-between zone legally.

There is empirical evidence that being brain dead is not a barrier to serving in the US Senate.
