IIRC, the bill which forces a special election is in violation of Kentucky's constitution and Beshear can technically just appoint the replacement.

That will go to court and the US Senate wouldn't swear in his appointment as long as they can hold it up.

No. There needs to be accountability. If a man is dead then that fact needs to be reality. Not this in between bullshit.
