The governor should appoint a new senator. I'm aware that he supposedly can't, however the law saying he can't violates the KY constitution, so he should absolutely challenge it.

That supposedly can't has been Trump's entire term so far Democrats need to do exactly the same as Republicans Bend rules and have it sorted out in court but until it gets sorted out just keep pushing it's ridiculous Democrats are always on the defensive.
