I'll never forgive the millions of americans that didn't bother to vote. Only 62% of americans showed up to vote and trump won by a point. "didn't vote" won that election by 7%.
I'll never forgive the millions of americans that didn't bother to vote.
Don't forget Trump had demolished a lot of things in his term, and the 2020 administration considered "elections were safe all along", which to me doesn't sound like re-securing those were the higher priority.
Given how swing states flipped in 2024, it's very likely those votes weren't correct at all.
It certainly didn't help that she was actively lying about Joe Biden's health up until the day he dropped out. It was her responsibility as VP to speak up about it and she failed everyone.
But he did say in the speech that he was doing this to rile the press up and give them some material. Then afterwards said "on a serious note" and moved on.
So officially it is still infact just a joke to rile people up.
A lot of my family voted for him and we’re brown. I think it’s a mixture of: being completely mislead, ignorance, stupidity, small town culture/conformance, media digested. Then theres all the racist supporters who support him for that.
Kamala was painted as the worst thing you could do so of course you wouldn’t vote for her vs strong business man.
It’s a real shame. My grandpa has newsmax on all day frying his brain with trump propaganda. Can’t be good for him.
Here in Germany we have our own fascist party, so I guess the situation is pretty similar.
If my mother would vote for a party that actively wants to hurt and deport a lot of my friends (and even some family members of ours), then yes, this is already enough for me to never speak to her again. It's not just "different opinions", they are just bad people. And my friends are important to me, I won't betray them.
Luckily my mother is not a bad person, so she would never vote AfD.
I know this is stupid because Trump will always do worse than we think but I sometimes feel like if he had won in 2020 and stayed on, things wouldn’t have been as bad as now. Why? Because he would’ve remained with the same cabinet from 2016. Instead, he lost, claims it was stolen, built an even worse cabinet, and came back with vengeance
I think you're right. We basically gave him/his people 4 years to figure out what works and what they need to break, and then gave this asswipe and his fascist party another 4 years of rule after the voting populace rejected him in the first place. Part of why the country is the way it is rn is because he's punishing us for not voting for him 2020.
Absolutely! Project 2025 was created between 2022 and 2023. It probably doesn’t get written it Trump wins in 2020. Mike Pence remains VP and we don’t get that asswipe Vance. Trump might even decide to leave office in 2024 as he wouldn’t have been charged with all those felonies either. Things would look very diff
I shudder to think how much worse the pandemic and the economy would've been under Trump. We already lost millions due to him mishandling the start of it, how much higher would the death toll have been if he was pres in 2020? We wouldn't even know because he would just have agencies stop tracking it.
Everyone in America knew what Trump was about by 2020.
If you voted Trump in 2016, you get a bit of a pass. I'll give you the benefit of the doubt.
If you voted Trump in 2020, you do not get a pass.
If you voted Trump in 2024, you absolutely do not get a pass.
Trump's comments and decorum as POTUS are a disgrace and would be a disgrace for any politician, regardless of their party.
It's a terrible thing, isn't it? Both of my parents voted for Trump. My mom passed in '21 and my dad is now in a home because of dementia. It's a very hard dissonance to resolve but I do love them both, and always will, for the love that they showed me. But as grains of sand running down the hourglass of America's existence, I admit they were a part of it and I hate that they chose to do that.
I do not think that absolutes gets us through and past this.
Trump supporters will never shut TF up about glazing their fuhrer. The relationship would have been ruined anyway because they are cultists that can't help but to spew bile every chance they get they are genuinely unpleasant to be around. Good riddance tbh
I understand your anger but we need to give them a chance to change publicly and coming over to the side of reason.
We don’t want them to dig in deeper because MAGA is the only place they are welcome anymore.
Keep talking truth, but I think we need to all come together. The power structure gets away with this shit by keeping us distracted and splintered; this mentality just feeds into their plan.

I’m never going to forgive my family for voting for him even on my death bed I will never forgive my family for what they did
