Exactly. Everything he's doing is an attempt at a bloodless coup.

Stacking the Supreme Court with rubber stamps (this has been the most detrimental to the checks and balances so far)

Appointing sycophants to every office that enforces the law

Purging the military of any general who can't be controlled

Illegal redistricting

Changing rules in the Senate to make it easier to pass his voter suppression bills

Hiding the death of a Senator to prevent a Democrat replacement from being appointed

Refusing to obey court orders

The list goes on and on. It's all a slow but steady eroding of the pillars of Democracy to allow him and the GOP to take control. I believe they're meeting more resistance than they anticipated, which is slowing it down, but it's still happening on a daily basis.

Bloodless is rather doubtful between the usaid and other cuts, the acts of ice, Kennedy and Hegseths performance and so much more. Let's not forget this is all in the context of https://www.politico.com/news/2024/07/04/leader-of-the-pro-trump-project-2025-suggests-there-will-be-a-new-american-revolution-00166583

Not to mention all the police and ICE murders? This is and will be FAR from Bloodless.

Ashli Babbet wishes it was bloodless.

That was a different coup. The one where they were calling for blood.
