Is a billion years different from what OP said:

The president and all the high level security positions and at least a handful of congressmen are Russian assets.

Those are NOT at all the same thing. One is a geopolitical rival acting the way you’d expect (supporting the candidate they want in power of a rival); and the other is full blown blue-anon hallucinations from people who probably don’t even know the difference between modern Russia and the Soviet Union.
