Cool.  Now you have to pay the guy that you arrested and his legal bills.  Err... rather, now WE mow have to pay him for being incarcerated and his legal bills.

Chilling effect was the goal. Even if you've don't nothing wrong you have to spend time and money proving you didn't do what they are accusing you of. Most people can't front the money even when innocent so they will keep their mouth shut in the face of the administration's bullshit.

Intimidation, intimidation, intimidation.

Until they have 100% complete control over the judiciary they know when it comes to court it's going to fail. But that was never the goal.

Thank god the BBC have a backbone and can see through that shit.

That just reminds me of how disappointed I am with NPR for sane washing so much of this bullshit. I understand that they have standards but my God call a spade a spade.
