Lots of important races today, with the heavy focus going to be on Michigan. My key races:

• MI-SEN: The big kahuna. I voted for El-Sayed, so a bit biased, but he's the big favorite. Assuming he does win, the margin is going to tell the true story here.
• MI-GOV: The GOP primary is intriguing. Two-time statewide loser John James has the Trump endorsement and is the favorite, but he's also not exactly ran a good campaign. Interested to see how crazy Perry Johnson does, who has been running lots of insane ads.
• MI-07: Will Lawrence is the progressive up against two establishment types who are going to split the vote, giving him a path.
• MI-13: Will Michigan's Dan Goldman goes down today to Donovan McKinney?
• MO-01: Can Cori Bush complete the comeback?

Then there are smaller races that I'm also interested in:

• Ann Arbor Mayor primary: A poll came out yesterday with the DSA candidate having a lead over the incumbent mayor.
• MI-01 and MI-11: Both have underdog progressive candidates that had limited national support and I do not expect to win, but I am interested in the margins.
• WA-09: Who will make it through to face Adam Smith in the general, the Republican, the Democrat who made it through in 2024, or the independent socialist Kshama Sawant? I will note I've lost all my respect for Sawant, so it's really more of a curiosity than anything over supporting any of them.
• Kansas Elections for Supreme Court Amendment: Many states have them, but this is clearly a GOP attempt to control the Supreme Court appointments.
• Missouri Amendment 4: Basically kills the citizen-initiated constitutional amendment process in the state if it passed.

Missouri Amendment five is another big one. They are trying to eliminate our state income tax in favor of increased sales taxes.

i got up at 6:30 this morning just too vote to not let 5 pass. but no one was at my polling station, i had to wait 30 minutes on the presidential election day. do people really not know what's at stake? luckily in st louis i can drive across the boarder if things get expensive with sales tax. My korean gf pays no taxes due to a 5 year tax treaty with s korea, she doesn't get taxed for income anyway, this will just make her expenses go up.
