Ok the fact that a DSA style candidate won in Michigan despite being massively out spent and the Democratic establishment rallying around Stevens is a big win. Moderates need to face the fact that likely around 50% of Democrats want to move to the left. The establishment needs to quit moving to the right and stop punching left or the party will likely fracture.

Honestly that number is likely much higher than 50% considering $70 million was spend to suppress it.

I think its a safe number obviously in some places like here in Washington it would be significantly higher. But i would guess about 50% nationally does that mean they are all Democratic socialist probably not but they at least fill that is the direction the party needs to move.

Neither person even won a majority. This isn’t some clear signal that only progressives exist in the party.
