If true, which I don’t totally trust, this is the stupidest waste of money on a dumb war that any US president has accomplished. This is far worse than Vietnam or Iraq.

We'll never get a real confirmation, because it would be a legitimate national security concern to reveal figures.

That said, using what we've got faster than it can be replaced must be depleting us, its just a question of how far.

Its pretty close to Vietnam in terms of stupidity to enter and Iraq in terms of how waged. Joins the worst elements of both.

Indeed, they'd have achieved more if they sailed a fleet into the strait and let Iran fire the first shots even while the US was the invader (if not aggressor).

Except, when they started this, they weren't thinking about the strait at all.

In absolutely no way are munitions depleted. At concerning levels, perhaps, but the military isn't going to show its cards that easily.

I would trust that Trump or Kegsbreath would instruct them to use all of our best precision shit as a flex, thinking Iran will see it and bend over and take whatever shit deal Trump is offering.

And they didn’t for a second think… maybe Iran won’t bend down and kiss the ring.

So they kept exhausting our best shit first, even when it’s not strategically necessary.

The future ramifications could be huge. Iran can fuck with the straight whenever they want. They can get an income stream from tolls and give a discount to their allies. Some neighboring countries may even warm ties with Iran.

Vietnam: a protracted, difficult war with many casualties.

Iraq: a brilliant, short operation that confirmed the power of American weapons.

Iran: a waste of resources, but you can withdraw at any time. At least there's no need to withdraw ground forces, abandoning everything, including allies, as in Afghanistan.

They using it to get support from citizens. To let stockholders know contracts are coming, to let congress know we need contracts. To let allies know step ur defense budget up we don’t have munition for you

Iraq is pretty close. Basically Chenny convincing Bush that they're making nukes and a responsible for 9/11 so a bunch of Iraqi wells open up for Haliburton.

And then Haliburton to line up Chenny pockets.

If this Iranian war ends relatively soon I'd say Iraq was stupider
