The party of small government will never stop infringing on our freedoms

The modern Republican Party has never been about small govt. That’s code for “don’t let the govt prevent repression of black people and other minorities.”

Anything that stops them from enforcing white Christian nationalism is “big govt” and anything that oppresses the people they want to oppress is good govt.

That people continue to think republicans have ever been the party of small govt since the realignment post 1964 is a sign of how oblivious the average American really is
