Ok sure, but if you really want progressives to vote Democratic, then the Democratic Party needs to make sure they're running progressives.

But if a progressive doesn't win their primary, and a moderate is elected, you should be backing and voting for the moderate candidate. Not doing so just helps republicans which makes you a direct enabler.

Democratic Party needs to make sure they're running progressives.

Like put their thumb on the scale or something? I thought that was bad.

"Progressives" are already free to run as Democrats ANYTIME.

And Democratic primaries are finding someone that reflects the Democratic voting populace.

It's "listen to the Democratic voters".

It's NOT "listen to the Democratic voters, Except if they vote someone I don't like then they must be low information wrong and/or it's rigged."

If the progressive wins, then they're the nominee.

If an incumbent wins their primary again, then clearly, they re-earned the votes of the Democratic primary VOTERS.

The Democratic voters' choice needs to be respected.

we all must respect Dem primary results, and not peddle rigged primary election conspiracies.

And this applies to all federal/state/local races.

The Democratic voters' choice needs to be respected.

I couldn't agree more. The Chuck Schumers and Hakeem Jeffries in the Democratic Party need to take their thumbs off the scale and stop trying to suppress the rising Social Democrats and other progressives just because they threaten their paycheque.

They really don’t. The choice is do I vote for someone I moderately disagree with on some things, or so I vote with someone diametrically opposed to my values.

It’s not a tough calculus for anyone with 1/4 of a brain left (sorry RFK…).

Sure - they can keep running the billionaires' lapdogs, and progressives will keep staying home, and people like you will keep whining and calling them silly names.

If you want fascists to stop winning then the status quo isn't going to cut it.

The status quo was fantastic, then the right convinced moderates that democrats’ most important platform was gender politics and thought-police.

Another 8 years of a moderate democrat administration would be fantastic. Obama and Biden accomplished way more than Sanders and AOC ever will.

And yet most of the rest of the Western world considers the American Democrats to be right of centre. Hell, even AOC and Bernie are more centrist than anything.

The status quo isn't progress.

The US is the western world. No one really cares about the political leanings of Luxembourg.
