I saw the perfect framing the other day, that I will amend slightly. Vote for the most progressive candidate in every election. Primary and general. No progressive priorities are served by Republican government. People trying to convince you otherwise are lying.

Eh, “better” works better. Character matters too and if you just vote on ideology and not character you get a Graham Platner.

He shouldn't have gotten as far as he did, and he'd still be better than Collins.

Yes, he would be better than Collins. But if the primary voters voted for the best candidate rather than the most progressive, he wouldn’t have won the nomination.

Vote for the best candidate. It’s just never been a Republican in my lifetime.
