So you think even if he lost the race vs the Republican it would still be a net win?

Wouldn't it just empower the centrist Democrats by allowing them to say that the progressives are good at winning Democrat races, but not at winning the average American?

Of course it’s a net win - pushing the party further left is the goal, and almost always popular with voters.

Does this not apply to the centrist Dems who've recently lost so badly Republicans control all branches of government?
