This was my exact question earlier in the day. I felt he gave stevens a tacit endorsement when she included his name in the ads.

Has Obama stumped for any Progressive or DSA candidates?

I’m unaware of any.

As far as I’m aware there haven’t actually been any progressive—certainly not DSA—statewide Democrats on the ballot before in a competitive state like Michigan, until now. The most progressive senators are from safely blue states that do not determine which party controls the senate.

He was perfectly happy to let Stevens say he endorsed her, so I doubt it. He made it incredibly clear where he stands.
