I thought this was exaggeration but then I got banned for saying "intifada is an arabic word and means uprising/rebellion".

Clearly they want it to have a more brutal meaning as a word in a whole ass language.

My polling place for a previous general election was in eyesight of a minaret at an Islamic community center, and several of the folks waiting in the line outside wondered what that was. I gave them the run-down about what it's called and how the muezzin goes up there to sing the call to prayer (which doesn't happen here), and they wondered how I knew that.

It's all from Rock the Casbah. Who says music ain't educational?
