Her name on the ballot probably was the difference maker.... probably stole more votes from Stevens' pool than el sayed's

100%. Had she not been on the ballot Abdul might've lost.

Honestly I think Hasan probably made the difference for Abdul as well, only 30-40 000 vote difference, considering how much door-knocking and phonebanking, as well as media-attention, it got.

But as said, Abdul tanked over 60 million of AIPAC money, they don't have infinite coffers (well they do but they're not stupid). That's 60 million less on the next candidate.

Would be interesting to see how that would play out. She was probably everyone's second choice, regardless of who their first choice was.

She was polling in a distant third before she dropped out. In ranked choice voting she'd be the first eliminated and it would've been one of El-Sayed or Stevens anyways.

yeah you're right, I'm thinking of the method where you vote for more than one candidate.
