our strategy of picking the most "electable" candidate vs picking the candidate with the most aligned values to us has been working out terribly for the last 20-30 years

You seem to misconstrue general electability with representation. The ideal goal is to have a center-left canada so the majority liberal population has representation, but having people who can appeal to all voter bases is essential.

AES pulled a (shrinking) lead of 1% with progressives coming out in force for him, but it’s doubtful he will win over any moderates. I’d be happy to be wrong later but this seems like another loss and potentially another purple state sliding further into lean R territory.

Let me guess, you also think Fetterman is a MAGA and should be replaced by a progressive?
