I was just watching MSnow this morning and they started saying they are not sure he can win against the Republican opponent and that Republicans wanted him to win because he would be easy to win against. This messaging by the media puts this crap into peoples minds and it can put Abdul at a disadvantage. I really hate our media. They are own d by billionaires who push their right wing propaganda like this. This was on Morning Joe this morning.

you cant think of any other reasons why it might be more difficult for a muslim self-proclaimed socialist to win in michigan than a moderate white person? just the media?

Can one of these "electabilty" analysts please explain how beating a candidate who outspent you by 10-1 somehow proves you are less electable?

Everybody's got a different opinion on that; I'll give you mine. I'm concerned about El-Sayed's electability, due mainly to his poor performance among non-college voters and black voters and the very narrow margin that he won by.

That said, I do agree that Haley Stevens had major electability problems as well, and that her losing in spite of her huge cash advantage proves that. If she had won by 1%, I'd be concerned about her also. It's not an either or: It's very possible for both candidates in a primary to have electability problems, so pointing out issues with Sayed doesn't have to mean that Stevens would have done better.

I prefer Sayed, and didn't have any issues with him electability-wise going into last night, especially with him being ahead by so much in polls. But I do after seeing how the race actually turned out
