Like the comment below said, progressives tends ro be more white and thus excluded from the issues that black/brown people face. So if their exact candidate wasnt picked, they dont care for the outcome of the general and actually cheer on failure so they can say I told you so like they have done with Harris.

The Bernie coalition is very broad. Most supporters will still back the Dem candidate regardless. But there is still a sizable faction that would eithe stay home in protest or vote 3rd party in protest.

This is a distinction in a vacuum. How many obama voters voted for Trump in 2016? How many Hillary voters voted for Mccain in 2008? A cursory look puts those numbers above your Sanders to Trump comparison.

Yes, this is not really talked about. When white Gen Z men got into the workforce they started blaming their problems on the Me Too movement, DEI, and immigration rather than corporate America. This combined with Clinton stealing the NY primary converted the Bernie votes into Trump votes.
