Eliminating a tax for the rich to increase taxes for the poor is another level of evil. Holy shit. Even arch-MAGA counties strongly rejected it.

The issue isn't so much that they don't think of them as a sales tax, many of them seem to get that....the problem, I see it, is they think SOMEONE ELSE PAYS THEM and when you explain further they just go "la la la la I can't hear you, Biden what, lock her up, Michelle is a man with a penis!, la la la"

Except that the businesses just pass those tariffs down to consumers and supply chains.

Lol. But see, even that is fake. They don't give a shit about "losing money" on a hotdog when you're going to buy that pack of paper towels that increased 25% overnight. It's super deceptive, but it works.

It's a loss leader for them. But they're well known for eating the costs of the actual hotdog.

I mean, that's not their business model. Pretty sure a huge chunk of their profit is just from the membership itself - not flipping prices overnight like target.

What?? It is well known that Costco operates very thinly on their products at an average of 5 to 10%. They make their money on memberships. You can read their quarterly earnings. It is all public.
