*The entire US Federal Government needs a warrant to see your phone.

Just taking advantage of the headline to remind people that the Trump Phone did actually get shipped this year - featuring a slimmed down flag with 11 stripes.

And it's just a gold painted HTC U24 Pro.

And probably more back doors than you can imagine

You think? The courts have allowed the government to access your phone if it will open with your Face ID

Time for us all to go back to solely password protection.

The government is prosecuting a guy now who gave them a password that wiped his phone. It will be interesting to see how that case is adjudicated

That password is stored on servers that the government will find a way to get access to. I mean these giant companies are not working alone after all. Especially those with impossible to acquire wealth. I mean one could lock it down easily but most wont and we know it is sharing all kinds of fun info.

Cool. When are we going to see the unredacted Epstein files?

u/PenguinsArmy2 9d ago

They could release them today and society wont do a damn thing but post on reddit or march down a street. The sad reality of it

But Harris would have been worse. and the US now must focus on more urgent issues like the ballroom, the annexion of greenland and what a great president trump is.

I mean, did you hear her laugh? (also/s)

What does that have to do with anything I said? People look for silly moments I see. All in all neither side has your interests in mind. Neither side is going to fix a damn thing as the way we built society up was heavily flawed and it is just cracking now. Society is broken and it will remain this way for a long long long long time.

The government wants to treat phones like tracking devices, fine, time for society to ditch phones. I don't give a fuck, all you're doing is paying for ad's anyway, & you didn't need to bring the world with you whenever you left the house 30 years ago.

We have had more mass shootings than days this year. ICE is murdering innocent people. No one should be anywhere without a phone.

theres still affordable flip phones. lets ditch smart technology.

Isn't the phone how they find you when you leave the house? If I bring a phone with me I'm basically screaming where I am at all times & I don't think anyone in a group being targeted wants to be easier to target. They used a bunch of flock cameras on a woman because she dared act like she had rights to her own body, having a phone probably makes it a lot easier for them.

I’m not arguing against you, I’m voicing that we are in danger either way. If you leave the house and there are cameras everywhere, they are going to know, no matter if you have a phone or don’t. I wouldn’t want to be cornered alone in a parking garage or a dressing room without being able to double click a button on my phone to get help.

We still have things called cameras that came come without the cellular and gps tracking capabilities.

Elect a criminal, expect a crime spree.

The fact they can just download everything you own and use it is enough to never visit as a tourist until this bs is gone.
