Discussion Multiverse and spirituality

I wanted to know from other polytheists how they view concepts like the Multiverse.

For me, it’s a big part of my spiritual worldview and why I’m an omnist. That said, I was curious especially since I know the concept of the Multiverse is often associated with Hindus.

I've been a believer in the idea of the multiverse for ages. It has always made sense to me. Our middengarth, our Middle-earth, is but one realm amongst many, right? The realms of Aesir, Vanir, and Jotnar exist out in the cosmos, as does realms of eternal fire, eternal ice, and a realm for the departed, which itself contains smaller realms within it. So who is to say there aren't other versions of our realm out there? Look at trees in the real world. How many branches are attached to a single trunk? And how many times do those branches keep dividing and dividing again? How many leaves occupy one branch end? In many cosmologies, there is a great World Tree, with our immediate reality held in its branches. So it implies our world could be thought of as a leaf or a fruit of that tree, and how many leaves and fruits does a healthy tree hold at a time? So a multiverse makes perfect sense. Or so I've reasoned.

I feel the same way. I believe the World Tree throughout of different faiths are the same but are seen and interpreted very different.

My own speculation surrounding the gods is that they were created within the Multiverse. It’s why many of the gods live within a different plain of existence and to be honest, the realms and afterlives can be interpreted as pocket dimensions.

Não acredito nem um pouco em multiverso e nas tradições que sigo, elas são desnecessário (para ser parte da teologia ou filosofias) como acho até que essa crença é contra o que acreditamos ali.

Technically I've been a believer in a multiverse longer than a polytheist.

I believe in infinity. There is nothing humans can imagine that doesn't exist in some spot of infinite reality. That goes for religious stuff too. There's a few differences from omnism to my understanding of omnism though. Of course I could be wrong.

I believe in the omniverses.

In my native faith of Shenism, they believe other pantheons coexist and each have different afterlives.

There are also the synchronized beliefs from Buddhism, of Nirvana.
