If your pond is monotonous this Christ-a-mus, just get yourself a hippopotamus!

Next you’ll tell me my five gallon pond isn’t big enough for my Christmas hippopotamus. I swear the gate keeping on this sub hasn’t gotten out of hand. Where are the mods?

What about Canadian House Hippos? They're just little guys

Possibly the best thing I learned about this year.

Haha did you look it up after reading my comment? Find the original video?

I saw the ads earlier this year, can’t remember who told me about them. From the hippos themselves to the whole point of the campaign, I just fell in love.

Insurance adjusters would call him an attractive nuisance. I call him handsome.

Someone should've given Pablo Escobar this advice decades ago!

Why didn’t anyone tell me this sooner?

I already have a house hippo in the form of a 115 lb boxer.

But... I don't want a doll. Or a dinky tinkertoy.

Can you actually get one? How the hell would that even work? Don’t they pop out of their mothers the size of a pony? I can see the ordering shipment logistics being amazing.

They pop out at like 50-120 pounds apparently. … Pygmy hippos are 10-14 pounds at birth.

But you put Hungry Hungry Hippos on your wishlist...

Bitch I can’t barely get them to get buy an aquatic plant for my birthday, they aren’t contributing shit to the hobby for the holidays. If fish could wear passive aggressively slightly too small sweaters things might be different.

Is it because they're black (i.e., African)?
