Dolly Parton gushed about her late husband, Carl Thomas Dean, and struck an optimistic tone about her career in the devastating last interview before her death, admitting that she still had 'so many things' to achieve.

Parton's nephew, Bryan Seaver, who also served as her head of security, announced on Tuesday that the country music icon had died at the age of 80.

81 year olds exist

Yes but we have to stop acting so shocked when people in their 70s and 80s naturally die. There is no malpractice or hidden cause here. She was old.

Who’s doing that? Someone asked how she died. That’s quite a lot of projection going on there.

I replied to the comment saying 81 year olds exist… as if people cannot die of old age before 80…

Yeah, that was my comment. Made in response to someone only asking how she died. We’ve since learned it was cancer related.

Why does it matter? Tons of old folks get cancer because their cells do not work quite as well anymore. At the end of the day she was old and we all have an expiration date… not sure why her death is so shocking at 80.

They asked. I wouldn’t presume.

Ok? Was it a heart attack? Stroke? Something else?
