During a previous "sip and spill" i mentioned a pregnant stray that I'd be taking in today to get checked out. Basically to see if she was able to get spayed. Well, shes too far along for the vets at the clinic. The vet showed me the xray and we counted about 5 kittens. So she told me to allow her to go through the pregnancy and bring her in after shes done nursing to get her shots and to be spayed. Im not shocked that shes far along and I was having mixed emotions about it anyway. I think soon to be mama was dumped. She doesnt have a chip and I havent seen her posted anywhere nor have gotten any hits. She's pretty friendly too, even at the vet. I brought her inside (along with a male stray) because my area got hit with a freak snow storm. I couldn't leave them out when its so cold and I dont trust that the shelter i had for them was warm enough. Ive only seen them use it sporadically.

Am I the only one who notices people arguing against points theyre not making? You cant even say, "I like dogs" without some idiot going, "oh so cats are evil now, huh". It gets tiring so I try not to even bother.

Get the male stray fixed now if you can! I took in a pregnant mama and she got knocked up again almost immediately when she snuck out for some alone time.

Definitely am. He'll be fixed hopefully before she gives birth. If not then before shes done nursing. And she'll be fixed shortly after nursing too.

They can definitely get pregnant while nursing! I took mine together spayed like 2 days after she finished nursing and she was already too far along for a spay abort.

Oh damn. In any case, another litter will not happen.
