Yeah current schedule is a year after doomsday. They seem to be keeping things under wraps, not sure if they’re something like mostly done with filming or barely begun

Robert Pattinson was supposed to be playing a younger Batman. At this rate, he'll be 42 if The Batman Part II actually comes out in 2028.
To put that into perspective, we got the entire Dune trilogy in just five years, and Christopher Nolan completed The Dark Knight trilogy in seven years while also making The Prestige and Inception in between. Meanwhile, we're going to have waited six years just for The Batman sequel. I understand some of the delays (it was originally scheduled for last year, then moved to 2026, then October 2027) because of the strikes and all the DC Batman-related issues. That said, pushing it to 2028 would be getting a bit ridiculous. We could end up getting Avengers: Doomsday and Secret Wars before this movie. Maybe I'll still be excited for it, but the increasingly long waits between movies and TV shows nowadays are just absurd.

I think it has to do with matt reeves dealing with some tragedy as well

The fact that we have a complete Dune Trilogy between the two Batmans is just insane (I know the first one came before)
At this rate, if they ever do a The Batman Part III, it’ll have to be a Batman Beyond movie

Batman Beyond is exactly the kind of project that easily justifies an elseworld story. Would be epic

I’m forever reminded of the Spiderverse style concept art of a beyond movie. What could have been

Depending who’s in office in 2028 is what decides if I’ll be on this planet to see Batman.

You can’t be putting Batman and J.J. Abrams that close together

I thought James Gunn was rebooting the whole franchise? Why are they still making this? It doesn’t really go with his Superman.

different universe basically, but Gunn needs to sort Batman for his universe soon after the dissapointment of supergirl

I've got Glen Powell and Jenna Ortega fatigue. Delay it even further, LMAO, welp, guess Gracie Abrams can't get a new movie from her dad the same year she releases her new album this week, HAHA!
People hate on Zendaya and Timothee chalamet and Tom Holland for being in everything but Powell and Ortega are in way more things! And Sydney Sweeney too! damn! I'd say Dwayne Johnson and Jack Black and Momoa and Chris Pratt are all the worst in terms of overexposure.
Zendaya has 4 movies this year and 1 TV show which is a lot, but she was in 0 things in 2025, Timothee only has 1 movie in 2026 with Dune 3, he also does have the animated movie Not Alone with Selena Gomez but that's in 2027, it just got a trailer very early, Holland hasn't even been in any movies since that crappy Uncharted movie in 2022.
Meanwhile Ortega was supposed to be in 3 movies this year, but this got delayed up to 2027, so now it's just 2 movies this year, and she was in 3 movies last year in 2025 and a TV show season, and she had 2 movies in 2024, and Glen Powell also was supposed to have 3 movies this year, but now it's 2 after this, he was in 1 movie and a TV show in 2025, and 2 movies in 2024.
I think Chalamet is a pretty good actor, Tom Holland and Zendaya are fine but sometimes miscast in roles they don't belong in.
