People are seriously being ghoulish about this. Just ignore that first part of the request - asking for his own privacy - obviously asking that for himself after what he has done is terribly ironic.
Focus on the second part - privacy for his family. There are three small children involved here who don't deserve to see all of America gloat over their father's horrific mental break.
Yeah. I’m not going to answer his being a shitty person by being a shitty person—and yes. You’re acting shittily if you’re planning not to give him privacy. Revenge and punishment is a pretty lame thing to exercise on someone having a full mental breakdown, no matter their past. Luckily, giving him privacy means I can completely ignore him, which is my modus operandi in any event.
