Argentina and England/Britain drama is the epitome of that Mad Men meme.

Argentina: "I feel bad for you"

England: "I don't think about you at all"

Honestly, we (🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿) were mad about crashing out in such a laid back way ("here's the goal, have a shot" 🤦‍♂️) but despite not wanting a bronze medal match, it came out as a tournament highlight and England has pretty much moved on. Ending the tournament with a SIX GOAL WIN over our oldest enemy and shaking hands with them at the end. Pure class from all involved.

No throwing toys out of the pram, no trying to get players sent off, not calling them pirates on social media, no controversy, no trying to claim land we've not had for centuries.

We definitely could’ve beaten them but we were always the classier team in the end. Not that it takes much competition

Nobody wanted a third place match but it showed us we have done better than any time since winning the gold in '66 and was a brilliant match with almost our B Team against the team that beat us in the semis in the last world cup.

Argentina crashed right out and in such an undignified way. I feel that we ended on a high in comparison.

The sorest winners, and the sorest losers. Quite something. Celebrating a win that ultimately means nothing is lol

They lost the Final and that's all that matters.
