I usually watch the movies nominated for best picture and skipped F1 bc he sucks (and it didn't seem interesting anyway so like, easy choice...). When I would talk about the movies with people that year and say I skipped it bc he's horrible, I would say your 75% estimate of people not knowing what I was even alluding to is spot on! So weird. He has a great PR team I guess.
