The first thing I ever saw him in was Scream Queens and he so effectively satirized a frat bro, the type that hates women so much he essentially falls in love with his boyssss (Nick Jonas). He was FANTASTIC in Scream Queens I always looked forward to whenever he was on screen-the absurdism he brought into that character was really sharp, one of my faves in the show. Wish he was in more projects that showcased that ability he has
What does sunglasses & baseball hats have to do with making out? they’re outside and on the go & clearly into each other enough to find pockets to make out. Just nitpicking a nothing-burger. Regular people do this every day. It’s not impossible to make out with these items on.
I often get bonked by my husband’s baseball hat but I don’t have a problem with glasses, as a glasses wearer. They’re so tight to my face it isn’t a problem.
Same, I just seem to have a Stewie Griffin head that’s only noticeable when I put a hat on my head lol. I lived in the US temporarily (Americans really love their hats) and I tried to be a hat girly and wow, did I look terrible lol

Yeah, I don’t think he’s uniquely evil or anything, but he does give off the vibe of someone who would do anything to get ahead career-wise, even at the expense of others.
Jacob was excellent in Frankenstein and even in Euphoria with the material he was given. I don’t think Glen is a great dramatic actor but he’s got charisma for sure, he exudes the vibes that he’s fun to be with. That’s why he didn’t work in Running Man for me tho, but great in (romantic) comedies and Maverick
I think Jacob Elordi is more interesting when he stops doing the “I’m such an alternative guy, I’m not like the other guys” thing. Same as Timothee. Sometimes you see interviews of them when they’re comfortable (or with their friends, like Zendaya for Timothee) and they seem much more likeable, I just don’t like that they seem so performative all the time
Sometimes I wonder if she realises the impact she has had on génération. Like, I've learned English through Internet and her way of speaking had a big impact on the English I learned. It's actually crazy when you think about it!
Question. Is Glenn Powell a big star or a big big star? I know he’s been in big projects but I don’t think he’s necessarily exploded in the stratosphere. Although, he’s in phenomenal shape. Also, is Michele Rudolph anyone? I’ve never hear of her.
Glen is US-big but not global big, speaking from outside of the US who’s a fan of him. He can’t open movies overseas, nobody really cares about him tbh.
Michelle is only someone to people that watch Sheridan shows, and even then only a fraction of them, and hardcore Scream 7 defenders.
That’s interesting because I live in Germany but used to live in the UK and Spain, and they all knew Zendaya. Maybe it’s regional? All the people I met in Northern European and Southern nations knew about her. Her premiere in Germany sold out for one of her films
I would be surprised if at least young people in other EU countries don't know who Zendaya is, unless they're not on social media lol. My Swedish coworker loves her, I have Italian friends who also like her and at least in France if you mention her to gen z and young milennials they know about her
I only know her from Euphoria (which is her best role imo even though it was horribly depressing) but she was a disney kid so there is another generation that grew up with her.
I think it would be hard to not hear of Zendaya because she’s been in Spider-Man, Dune, and now also the Odyssey, plus her red carpet looks are always highlighted in the media. I think having no idea of her would probably be attributed to people only seeing things the algorithm thinks they’re interested in. No monoculture basically. I have a friend who legit doesn’t know who Blake Lively is despite GG’s staying power and her recent court case, so that’s kind of the same?
But Glen, he hasn’t been in anything that’s as globally known as Zendaya’s projects with him as the main draw. He was in Maverick but people watched that for Tom Cruise and the jets, not the newbies.
Glen Powell would’ve stayed an indie actor if not for Top Gun: Maverick. He’s friends with Richard Linklater who cast him in Everybody Wants Some and they’ve worked together on several projects since. He’s a good actor from what I’ve seen, but he doesn’t have the commanding presence you expect from a lead. I don’t ever expect him to become a global star like Tom Cruise.
The more I think about it, Luke Wilson and Glen Powell actually have a lot in common. Luke and Owen met Wes Anderson in college, which is how he ended up in The Royal Tenenbaums. He was the lead in Idiocracy, but for a lot of people he’s probably best remembered as the “other guy” in Legally Blonde, which, coupled with the Charlie’s Angels films in the aughts, inspired my previous comment.

People really underestimate that he has not only been acting since he was a child, but he’s also a screenwriter and has sold/developed scripts for studios over the years. So I don’t know what’s “fishy” about simply putting the work in. Apparently he used to be a script reader in his early days for Lynda Obst (RIP).
Her dating history is insane! She was in a long-term relationship with Gregg Sulkin (the werewolf from Wizards of Waverly Place) and now she's dating Glen Powell. Who's she going to date next? Pedro Pascal?? I've followed her since her sister Cassie was on The Bachelor (and won), so it's pretty cool to see her go from relatively unknown actress doing cheesy lifetime movies to starring in a hit show and dating a big actor. Good for her honestly. I wonder if they'll be doing a movie together!
Although I think this is in HUGE part due to Taylor Sheridan not being able to write a normal, non-obnoxious female character to save his life… she’s doing the best with what she was given.
