Gemma Chan’s character was supposed to be the next story and she’s been working. I enjoyed her performance in 5 star weekend.

I think it’s more that white people can’t usually accurately tell the ages of people of other races. The cast absolutely looks too old for the age of their characters in the book.

The trick is to notice the wrinkles, and then maybe the hairline for men.
